Stop-motion Animation

This stop motion animation project was interesting to brainstorm.  The concept had to be doable and intriguing at the same time.  By choosing an inanimate object of an animal, I emphasize the idea of stop motion animation, which would not have been as effective if I used a living thing as the subject.  In my short video, the viewer follows a mouse as it goes about its day in someone’s home.  I wanted to focus on the shot having shallow depth of field, making the mouse closer to the viewer and the background almost unrecognizable.  This illusion, and having the images shot at ground level, puts the viewer in the position of the mouse.
